State’s Founders, Innovators, and Researchers Gather at SCRA Summit

| News, News Releases

Did you know the SAVER device that improves CPR outcomes is made right here in South Carolina? What about a kit to extract exosome particles that improves diagnostic testings? These are just a couple of the exciting South Carolina Research Authority (SCRA)-supported innovations developed  in our home state.

SCRA is hosting its summit, in-person, for the first time since 2019. This annual hallmark event brings together the best and brightest minds in South Carolina’s innovation and entrepreneurial ecosystem. The theme for this year’s summit is Scale Up South Carolina, which celebrates the rapid growth in the state’s innovation-based economy after some pauses and pivots due to the pandemic.

The summit is an opportunity for SCRA-supported companies and project leaders to learn, collaborate, and network. It also a chance for investors, researchers, students, service professionals (e.g., attorneys, accountants, etc.),and the general public to learn more about the amazing advancements taking place in the state.

The summit will be held at the Pastides Alumni Center at the University of South Carolina. It begins 8:00 a.m. Thursday morning April 28 and ends after the networking reception, which begins at 4:00 p.m. Full agenda.
