SCRA Announces Land Intelligence Investment

| News, News Releases

Summerville, SC – South Carolina Research Authority (SCRA) announces its affiliate, SC Launch, Inc.’s, second investment of $200,000 in Land Intelligence, Inc. The Columbia-based startup is a technology- enabled business offering software solutions that support land transactions including land development, home building, and investing. This investment will assist Land Intelligence with further development of its product platform.

Land Intelligence became an SCRA Member Company in 2020 and successfully progressed through the SC Launch program, becoming an SC Launch, Inc. Portfolio Company the same year when they received their first investment of $200,000.

The land development industry is tasked with combing through databases and documents researching and analyzing land values and deals which takes weeks of time and manpower. Land Intelligence developed a one-stop shop platform that makes this research a turn-key operation by providing customized tools and reporting capabilities.

“Land Intelligence had a swift journey through our SC Launch program and became investible in the same year as their acceptance. They were able to do this because they were well-prepared with an experienced executive team. They also had a solid customer base, matured operations, and products already doing well in the market,” said Lee MacIlwinen, SCRA Investment Manager.

“Success includes having a product or service that people need and having partners who believe in you and support your vision. SCRA has been a staunch supporter of our products and are on this journey with us as we prepare for our next level of success. Our products offer a full range of site and civil land engineering services as they relate to different types and stages of projects. From initial data collection and surveys to final design, we have the expertise to serve throughout the entire development process,” said Gore Bolton, Land Intelligence CEO.

“Land Intelligence is becoming the go-to source for land rating. Their suite of services makes it easier for bankers, developers, investors, and homeowners to make decisions regarding land transactions. We’re excited to be on the journey with them,” said Bob Quinn, SCRA Executive Director. “They are helping their customers complete deals more efficiently and with less risk.”

Land Intelligence recently released a new line of software features and will continue to do so throughout this year as their customer relationships grow. Learn more about Land Intelligence.
