Summerville, SC – South Carolina Research Authority (SCRA) announces its affiliate, SC Launch, Inc.’s, investment of $250,000 in ScopeStack, Inc. This investment comes with ScopeStack’s plans for expanding its operations and workforce.

ScopeStack became an SC Launch Member Company in 2018 and successfully progressed through the program, receiving a $25,000 Project Development Fund Grant and a $50,000 Acceleration Grant. They eventually became an SC Launch, Inc. Portfolio Company by receiving this investment.

Developed by IT providers, ScopeStack is redefining the presales process for IT services providers, managed services providers, and cloud services providers through a unique automation platform. In what can be tedious process, ScopeStack’s platform enables engineers to accurately price professional services and reduce time to scope a project. It enables a quick turnaround for statements of work while ensuring that accuracy and proper approvals are in place.

“Solving problems and providing solutions is always top-of-mind when we consider supporting a startup. The ScopeStack team spent many years copying information from one platform to another manually and updating documents and spreadsheets to generate proposals. They fully understood the problem and came up with an innovative software solution to solve it,” said Lee MacIlwinen, SCRA Investment Manager. “ScopeStack is revolutionizing the statement of work process, making it truly turnkey.”

“To successfully grow any business, you need a trusted partner who believes in your mission and is willing to support you through the various phases of growth. SCRA is that trusted partner for us. We talk to them about the goals of our company, and they continually listen, while providing the support, advice, and the funding we need to continue growing,” said Jon Scott, ScopeStack Founder and CEO.

“Behind every statement of work is a plan of improvement or something new that is going to help an organization accomplish a goal. ScopeStack has taken the headache out of the statement of work process. Their platforms include everything from documentation and approvals to workflow and pricing,” said Bob Quinn, SCRA Executive Director. “We’re excited to see their next level of success.”
