SC Launch Announces New Board Member

Summerville, S.C. – SC Launch, Inc. announces the appointment of Andrea Marshall to the SC Launch Board of Directors. The SC Launch program is SCRA’s entrepreneurial platform that provides mentoring, grants and investments to qualified, South Carolina companies in the Advanced Materials/Manufacturing, Information Technology and Life Sciences industries.

Andrea H. Marshall, JD is currently the Innovation Director for the Roper St. Francis Research and Innovation Center.  The Center was established to identify, develop and commercialize promising early-stage inventions in the fields of healthcare and life sciences. Prior to joining Roper St. Francis, she served as Executive Administrator of Charleston Angel Partners where she managed all aspects of screening, diligence and investment for several significant investments in the biotech sector.

The SC Launch Board of Directors approves loans and investments made to SC Launch companies. The Board consists of seven members representing South Carolina’s academic institutions and industry, and having significant experience with entrepreneurial endeavors.
