SC Launch Inc. Board of Directors
Andrea H. Marshall, J.D. is Chair of the board of directors of SC Launch, Inc., and a member of the SCRA board of trustees. She is also Vice President, General Counsel, and Administrative Officer for MedTrust Holdings, Inc. MedTrust is a fast-growing company based in South Carolina, providing non-emergency medical transportation for healthcare providers in South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida. Ms. Marshall has previously worked in senior executive roles for companies developing emerging technologies, including a clinical stage biopharmaceutical company. Ms. Marshall also served as the founding Innovation Director of the Roper St. Francis Research and Innovation Center in Charleston, SC. The Center was established to identify, develop, and commercialize promising early-stage inventions in the fields of healthcare and life sciences and to advance clinical research.
Prior to joining Roper St. Francis, Ms. Marshall served as the executive leader of Charleston Angel Partners, South Carolina’s most long-standing angel investment group. In that role, she managed all aspects of screening, diligence, and negotiation of investments in early-stage technology companies.
Ms. Marshall is an attorney in the area of corporate law, securities, and mergers & acquisitions. Before moving to South Carolina in 2005, Ms. Marshall practiced in New York City with Holland & Knight LLP, one of the nation’s largest law firms. She also has experience as a senior operations director for a corporate e-commerce division, among other management roles.
Ms. Marshall earned her law degree, with honors, from The University of Texas School of Law, and her bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University. She also serves as a board member of the Technology Accelerator Company which supports development of life science technologies. She lives in Mount Pleasant with her husband, David Marshall, a physician and Chair of Radiation Oncology at MUSC.
