Last week, SC Launch Inc., the investment affiliate of SCRA, hosted a three-day workshop in Charleston for SCRA Member Companies. The program focused on investment fundraising, capital planning, and practical financial frameworks to support company growth.
“We have noticed increased activity here in Charleston and want to equip the founders with the skills to go out and fundraise investment dollars if they so choose.” said Matt Bell, Executive Director of SC Launch Inc.
The first two days were held at SCRA’s MUSC Innovation Center with local early-stage startups from across the Lowcountry. The final day taking place at Blue Sky Labs, located at MUSC, in conjunction with MUSC’s Office of Innovation and the Zucker Institute for Innovation Commercialization. Each morning began with ecosystem-building sessions and in-depth workshops, followed by productive 1:1 meetings in the afternoon designed to provide personalized support and guidance.
This initiative underscores SC Launch Inc.’s commitment to not only investing in high-growth early-stage companies, but also empowering early-stage companies with the tools, connections, and knowledge needed to scale successfully.
