Summerville, SC – South Carolina Research Authority (SCRA) announces its affiliate, SC Launch, Inc.’s investment of $200,000 to inKind, dba GoodUnited. The Charleston-based company is a worldwide leader in one-to-one conversational messaging between nonprofits and their donors.

GoodUnited became an SC Launch Client Company in 2019 and successfully matured through the program to become an SC Launch, Inc. Portfolio Company through receiving this investment.

“From the first time we reviewed GoodUnited’s application information and heard their pitch, we knew this was a company that had positioned itself for growth. Their mission of helping nonprofits is a worthy one, and the innovative technologies they’ve developed to make this happen are impressive,” said Derek Willis, SCRA Investment Manager. “The amount of funds they have raised for their clients is truly amazing.”

“We’re humbled and thrilled by SCRA’s belief in our mission and vision. This investment allows us to continue to grow our impact and footprint in the Lowcountry. Thank you to the entire SCRA team,” said Nick Black, GoodUnited Founder and CEO.

Since their beginning in 2015, GoodUnited has helped its clients raise over $500,000,000 on social platforms. They’ve helped nonprofits increase Facebook fundraiser donations, email donations, and retaining donors, in an automated way, without them having to add to the staff’s workload.

“I continue to be impressed by this company. Derek and the SC Launch team have formed a productive partnership with GoodUnited, and we are looking forward to their continued growth in the nonprofit fundraising arena,” said Bob Quinn, SCRA Executive Director.

GoodUnited works with many well-known organizations such as the American Heart Association, Wounded Warrior Project, and Special Olympics.
