Carrie B. Cherveny, Esq.

Carrie Cherveny, Esq. has practiced in the employment law field for over 20 years. She has experience in all facets of employment law including as an HR professional, an employment law defense attorney and an in-house counsel for a national PEO. An expert on PEO services, Carrie works closely with clients to transition into and from PEO arrangements. Carrie also provides employment law and employee benefits compliance consulting and guidance to HUB clients in the South region of the U.S.

Carrie Cherveny is the Senior Vice President of Strategic Client Solutions in HUB’s Risk Services Division. Carrie has 20 years of combined experience in PEO service models, employee relations, human resources, employment law litigation, and employee benefits legal guidance.  Carrie also recently accepted a position with the University of South Carolina Law School as an Adjunct Professor teaching employment law and risk management to professionals in the healthcare industry.

As the PEO Practice Leader, Carrie works closely with clients to assist them in identifying the appropriate PEO model for their unique business needs.  Carrie identifies operational and compliance needs across the organization and develops responsive strategies and solutions through PEO partnerships. Carrie designs and implements the HUB proprietary PEO tools including the  transition project management plan, cost comparison, and education materials.  Carrie partners with HUB clients in various industries such as hospitality/restaurant, medical/hospitals, manufacturing, and white-collar businesses.

As the Chief Compliance Officer, Carrie works closely with clients to identify compliance risks across the organization and develop responsive strategies and solutions. Part of Carrie’s focus is risk mitigation when it comes to various insurances such as health and welfare programs and employment practices liability.  Carrie partners with the HUB clients to provide compliance and consulting services regarding general health plans, ACA, ERISA, and other legal matters involving employee benefit programs.

While working previously as a Partner in a West Palm Beach Employment Law firm, Carrie focused her practice in employment litigation and employee relations in both state and federal courts. She has represented private sector employers in litigation under Title VII, the ADA, the ADEA, the FLSA, the FMLA, the Florida Civil Rights Act, and the Florida Whistleblowers’ Acts.
