SCRA-Academia Collaboration Team (SACT): Collaborative Research Grant

SCRA will be requesting applications from multi-institutional, collaborative research teams that will advance commercially-relevant research and address key industry challenges to foster technology-enabled growth of the state’s innovation economy.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

  • Awards require applicants to collectively contribute a non-federal match of 50% in the form of cash; in-kind contributions from an industry partner will be permitted
  • Project must be completed in 36 months
  • Award amounts depend on institution type and number of collaborating institutions
  • Under the RU Solicitation, only Research Universities are eligible applicants
  • Under the CTU/TC Solicitation, only public Comprehensive Teaching Universities and Technical Colleges are eligible applicants
  • Proposals are selected and submitted by the Vice President of Research or Office of the Provost, if there is no Vice President of Research position
  • Each institution is allowed to submit a maximum of two proposals under this solicitation
