Delivering technology solutions with broad-industry involvement and impact
SCRA is a non–stock, tax-exempt applied research and commercialization services company with more than 27 years of experience delivering innovative technologies through collaboration and deep domain expertise.
Currently SCRA manages over 100 national and international programs worth over $1.4B in applied R&D contract value. SCRA’s results-based management approach assures delivery of technology solutions to complex client challenges.
ATI: Delivering Technology Solutions
SCRA affiliate ATI delivers technology-based solutions to complex challenges - primarily for mission-oriented Federal agencies and over two hundred corporations from around the world. ATI combines expertise in our target markets, a robust network of partners and access to world-class research laboratories. We use flexible business models to blend Federal and corporate funding, using it to quickly and efficiently develop technologies to improve capability and lower costs of client products and processes.
SC Launch: Advancing the Knowledge Economy
SCRA affiliate SC Launch supports start-up companies and assists in commercializing new and innovative products. This network of emerging companies provides innovations that serve our Federal and Corporate clients.
Facilities to Commercialize Technology
SCRA’s Research Parks and Innovation Centers are world-class laboratories, light manufacturing facilities and secure rooms where research discoveries are commercialized. They have been specifically designed to house early-stage companies and conduct sensitive work. SCRA’s Information Technology capabilities provide the digital backbone vital to effective, collaborative applied research.
SCRA’s clients benefit from the connections between ATI, SC Launch and SCRA properties.
ATI’s Federal clients have access to innovations through the SC Launch network of emerging IP providers. These companies also satisfy Federal contract requirements regarding small businesses. SCRA’s investment in these companies - blended with private funding through donations to the Industry Partnership Fund that fuels the SC Launch program - helps position them to better serve Federal agency needs. Our Government customers reap the benefit without covering start-up costs.
Qualified SC Launch companies may gain access to Federal markets through SCRA contracts. Their relationship with SCRA gives them insight into Federal client challenges and helps them better understand how they might offer solutions.
SCRA builds and equips world-class lab, manufacturing, and business facilities for researchers and early-stage companies. These facilities - wholly-funded by SCRA - are available to emerging IP providers who contribute to ATI-led research programs, and represent another way that SCRA delivers value to our Federal and Coporate clients.
