BUILDING the KNOWLEDGE ECONOMY

sc launch

SC Launch is a collaboration of SCRA, research universities, and leaders in business and economic development. SC Launch builds a bridge spanning the gap between the spark of innovation and the reality of application and production.

sc launch

Mentoring, training, and networking opportunities for start-up companies

Providing a pathway to commercialization of innovative products and services

Helping turn research discoveries into companies, jobs and products

Positioning early-stage companies to secure institutional-grade, follow-on funding

Supporting automotive, alternative energy, and bioscience technology clusters in SC

SC Launch was formed with $12M of SCRA's retained earnings. To sustain the program organizations and individuals can contribute to the Industry Partnership Fund and receive dollar-for-dollar SC tax credits. 86% of SC Launch money has been invested in start-up company growth. Administrative costs associated with program execution are minimal.
