ATI Program Managers Recognized by Department of Defense
Significant Contributions to ManTech Program

Charleston, SC - January 21, 2011 - Advanced Technology International, an SCRA affiliate, announced today that two program managers managing three projects have been recognized by the Department of Defense's Joint Defense Manufacturing Technology Panel (JDMTP) for exceptional leadership and significant contributions to the Manufacturing Technology (ManTech) Program. ATI leads applied research collaborations that develop technologies to improve the mission effectiveness of Federal agencies. The three ATI programs recognized are: the Ballistic Protection for Gasoline Tanker Trucks project and the Out of Autoclave Fiber Placement project managed by Ms. Danna Kelley-Haddad and the DDG-1000 Large Multi-Band Radomes project managed by Mr. Ryan Frankart.

The JDMTP, comprised of technical principals from the individual ManTech Programs of each Service, several other Department of Defense agencies and other Cabinet-level departments, has a mission to guide the investment strategy and develop strategies that can be used to mature and transition ManTech Programs to the Services. To accomplish this mission, the JDMTP has a process to recognize individuals who make significant contributions to the Department of Defense (DoD) ManTech Program.  Using criteria including perceived DoD benefits, attention to metrics, technical progress and transition status, the annual review panel commended the three ATI projects for excellent performance.

"I am extremely proud of the work done by both Danna and Ryan in support of the Department of Defense ManTech Program," said ATI President Rick Self. "Their commitment and efforts on these individual programs is proven, and I look forward to seeing their work on future programs in support of the JDMTP mission."

"The three recognized ATI programs are right in line with the JDMTP mission to mature and transition ManTech Programs to the Services," said SCRA CEO Bill Mahoney. "Our program managers' dedication to these programs is commendable and shows ATI's continued track record of assisting Federal agencies with improved mission effectiveness.  I applaud Danna and Ryan's leadership in effective management of these three crucial programs."

This acknowledgment represents yet another recognition for ATI's work in the ManTech program - for the ManTech annual award, eleven program managers were nominated, and four were members of our ATI team.  Additionally, two ATI programs were among the five programs highlighted in the opening remarks at the annual Defense Manufacturing Conference.
