ATI Wins Contract Extension to Assist Federal Government with
Interagency Operations Centers

Applies Knowledge and Information for Decision Making, Securing Ports

Charleston, SC - September 13, 2011 - Advanced Technology International, an SCRA affiliate, was recently awarded a contract extension for the "Watchkeeper" program. The program, a component of the United States Coast Guard (USCG) Interagency Operations Center (IOC)/Command 21 project, provides a set of software applications that assist in informed command and control decisions.

In addition, Watchkeeper supports the USCG mission of transforming Sector Command Centers into Interagency Operations Centers.

Since the inception of the WatchKeeper program, SCRA-affiliate ATI has performed planning, management, analysis, software development, testing, integration support, training support and documentation development in support of this USCG mission.

Specific ATI systems engineering and software development support includes port-specific operations, alerting, geospatial situational awareness, integration with the USCG Enterprise Service Business for data source access and enhancements to the user interface.  ATI has worked extensively with end users and the Coast Guard's Test and Evaluation teams to support end-user training and meet end-user requirements in preparation for future nationwide roll-out of the system.

"The US Coast Guard has committed to delivering and supporting state-of-the-art market platforms and systems that are affordable, efficient and mission-capable," said ATI President Rick Self. "ATI offers domain expertise and capability that supports these efforts to improve our ports and security. The continuation of this contract is a credit to the ATI team and the excellent work that our associates have performed."

"SCRA programs have an extensive track record of developing and applying technology solutions for real world results," said SCRA CEO Bill Mahoney. "We are delighted to have received this contract extension so that we may continue to not only bring solutions to the US Coast Guard but also support Interagency Operations."

The IOC/ Command 21 project is a major USCG acquisition that is transforming Sector Command Centers into Interagency Operations Centers by improving facilities, information management and sensor capabilities into an action oriented, proactive security environment. IOC/Command 21 will satisfy the mandates of the Security and Accountability for Every (SAFE) Port Act of 2006.

At full implementation, each IOC/Command 21 watch floor will be tailored to the individual needs of the ports and may be populated by diverse partners, including other federal, state and local law enforcement, port authorities and Department of Defense organizations.
