Make a Contribution to the Hydrogen Infrastructure Development

Fund (HIDF)

Taxpayers, both individual and institutional, who donate to the fund receive a 25% credit against South Carolina income tax, license fees or insurance premium tax.

Mechanics of making a contribution:

1. Send check(s) made payable to South Carolina HIDF  to: 

SC Hydrogen Infrastructure Development Fund
c/o South Carolina Research Authority
5300 International Blvd.
N. Charleston, SC 29418
Attn: Julia Martin                                                                                

Contributor should include the donor’s full name and home/business address, and indicate where the tax certification should be mailed.

2. Upon deposit of check(s), Julia Martin, CFO of SCRA, will send to contributor three documents: 

a. A letter confirming the receipt of the contribution and certifying the amount of the tax credit (this letter to be attached to contributor’s tax return) 
b. A waiver form to be executed by contributor and returned to Julia Martin. This waiver allows SCRA to report required information to the SC Dept. of Revenue.
c. A contact information form to be returned to Julia Martin.
