John Gregg - Senior Executive Vice President and General Manager - Corporate Development

 

Mr. Gregg is Senior Executive Vice President, General Manager and CIO on the SCRA team. He is responsible for Digital and Physical Assets of the company.

John has management responsibility for the digital and physical asset of SCRA. This includes current and future facilities, some of which are occupied by employees and some that are rented to third parties. He has hands on experience managing the construction of new multi-million dollar facilities. He is also a licensed realtor. In addition he is responsible for Digital assets which includes servers, applications, networks (voice and data), and telephone systems. As CIO he provides oversight and strategies to support and optimize information assets. John has leadership skills related to strategic planning, operational excellence and enterprise information management. In addition, he has managed significant sizes of organizations including sales, research and development, professional services and marketing in publicly traded companies.

Prior to joining the SCRA, John worked as Executive Vice President of Worldwide operations for Indus International. He had worldwide responsibility for approximately $140m in annual revenue and approximately 600 customers. Indus provided mission critical service delivery management applications to approximately 70% of the electric utilities worldwide. Prior to this position, John was President of SCT Utility Systems. He has spent his career in various leadership roles in Electric and Gas Utilities and software companies providing solutions to utilities.

John received a BS degree in Business Administration from the University of South Carolina. In addition he graduated from the Public Utility Executive Program at the University of Michigan. He is a past member of the Edison Electric Institute and completed the Leadership Columbia program.
