PDES, Inc. - Promoting the International Implementation of STEP Product Data Standards

SCRA is the Host Contractor for PDES, Inc., an international product data standards collaboration. Membership includes over 30 corporate leaders in aerospace, automotive, electronic, and other industries from six countries.

STEP provides a standard to accurately and efficiently exchange product information electronically. PDES, Inc. members span the aerospace, automotive, electronics, and shipbuilding industries. They collaborate on common data exchange issues such as supply chain integration, long-term data retention, interoperability, web-based collaboration, and engineering analysis.

National Warheads and Energetics Consortium

SCRA manages the business operations of a national consortium executing a $700M DoD munitions technology development program. The consortium of over 120 companies and academic institutions brought enhanced warfighter lethality and survivability. NWEC is the industrial/academic component of the Department of Defense Ordnance Technology Consortium, an enterprise that serves as the focal point for ordnance system technology research and development to address the U.S. long range science and technology objectives.

The CMTC is an Office of Naval Research (ONR) Center of Excellence promoting the application of composites technologies on Naval platforms for capability enhancement and cost reduction. CMTC's 30 industry members develop technologies with application to modern DoD aircraft, surface ships, submarines, land vehicles, and associated weapons and missiles.

Copper Touch Surfaces Program

SCRA manages a team of world-class team of medical researchers, air quality and environmental engineers, and practical clinicians researching the effectiveness of antimicrobial copper applications to improve health and wellness. The program was created under the auspices of the Telemedicine and Advanced Technologies Research Center (TATRC), a section of the U.S. Army Medical Research and Materiel Command (USAMRMC).
